Problem Statement

The project is to identify electrons in the ATLAS detector.

This means:

1. The cluster finding in the EM calorimeter. Found clusters then serve as seeds for the track finding in the Inner Detector.
2. The track searching using a road to collect position measurements (called clusters) in the different detector elements (called media).
3. The track reconstruction from the set of position measurements which fit an electron hypothesis (helix with a possible radiation).
