Object Oriented Tracking Software for the ATLAS Experiment

Eiffel-Fortran Interplay

The Prototype can also be run together with the current ATLAS software by linking Fortran and Eiffel with a small number of C interface functions.

Eiffel calls Fortran: Encapsulation of the already existing (algorithmic) Fortran routines in the OO. Usage of Fortran libraries.
Fortran calls Eiffel: Using of already developed OO code in Current software.

Both will enable:
Risk of bringing Fortran-like constructs to the OO software.
